2024 is going to be an amazing year at Walt Disney World Resort! We’ve already shared some updates throughout the year to make planning your vacation simpler, and now I’m here to kick off the new year with what I’m most excited about and a few tips to make the most out of your visit.

Good-To-Go Days Calendar Coming Jan. 11
In 2024, let’s resolve to be more spontaneous with “good-to-go” days for Annual Passholders! As Passholders gear up for their visits next year, let me tell you how these good-to-go days will work:
- On good-to-go days, Annual Passholders can enter the theme parks without needing a reservation (blockout dates will still apply, just like they do now).
- The theme park reservation calendar, Annual Passholder admissions calendar, and My Disney Experience app will show the days that are good-to-go. The first good-to-go days will be added to the calendars starting on Jan. 11, 2024.
- Good-to-go days will be added periodically and may be released days or weeks in advance.
With the return of all-day Park Hopper access, Passholders can visit another Walt Disney World theme park at any time during park hours.* You can also continue to visit without a park reservation after 2 p.m., unless you’re visiting Magic Kingdom Park on a Saturday or Sunday (blockout dates still apply).
And that’s not all…
All-Day Park Hopper Access is Coming Back
If you have a ticket with Park Hopper benefits or an Annual Pass, get ready to enjoy the freedom of visiting another theme park ANY TIME OF DAY during park hours (subject to capacity limitations).* Imagine starting your morning watching the sunrise over the savannah at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, and then heading over to EPCOT to have lunch around the world. Sounds like a dream come true!
Theme Park Reservation Updates
Great news for guests who purchase date-based tickets, the standard Disney theme park tickets! You no longer need to make theme park reservations. So, you have more flexibility to plan your day and hop from one park to another without any hassle.
Dining Plans Return
Are you ready for the convenience and peace of mind of pre-paying for your meals and snacks? Disney Resort hotel guests can once again purchase vacation packages with dining plans. You have two popular options to choose from: Packages that include either the Disney Quick Service Dining Plan or the Disney Dining Plan. Both plans offer great value, especially for families with young children.
What’s New with Dining Plans
Attention, Disney foodies! Dining reservations are now open for guests staying at Disney Resort hotels who purchase a vacation package with a Disney dining plan for arrivals in January through early February. You can book dining up to 60 days in advance, and as a Disney Resort hotel guest, you can make dining reservations for your entire length of stay, which can be up to 10 days.
Here’s a pro tip: We recently made it easier for you to check availability. Now you can see every available reservation for your selected location and date! Talk about convenience.
And here are some additional tips to help you make the most of your dining plan:
- You can redeem meals and snacks at any time during your stay.
- Use the My Disney Experience app to keep track of how many meals and snacks you have remaining. And don’t forget, the app’s mobile order service makes it a breeze to find quick and nearby dining options that accept your dining plan!
From the return of fan-favorites like dining plans and all-day Park Hopper access to the introduction of good-to-go days, there’s so much to look forward to in the New Year. And that’s only the beginning. Later in 2024, we have even more exciting things coming your way, including the completion of the transformation of EPCOT and the opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom Park! Make sure to stay tuned to the Parks Blog for all the latest updates.
*To use the Park Hopper benefit, Annual Passholders must make a theme park reservation for the first park they plan to visit and enter that first park before visiting another. Alternatively, they can enter a theme park without a reservation on a “good-to-go” day for that park or after 2 p.m. (except Magic Kingdom on Saturdays and Sundays) before visiting another park. Please note that passes are subject to the Walt Disney World Resort Annual Pass Terms and Conditions.
