We have an extraordinary celestial alignment coming up next week that holds immense power and potential. On Thursday, April 16th, we will witness the trine between stationary Pluto in Capricorn and Black Moon Lilith in Virgo. This potent alignment of the Dark Masculine (Pluto) and the Dark Feminine (BML) will be exact at 11:23 am PDT, with Pluto stationing retrograde later that day at 8:54 pm. The energy of this alignment can be felt deeply not just on that day, but also for approximately a week before and after.
When Pluto is stationary, it appears to come to a standstill in the sky from our perspective on Earth. As the slowest planet, Pluto holds immense power. During a time when all the planets are moving in direct motion, Pluto stands out as the most influential. Positioned at 15’32 Capricorn, Pluto’s energy is focused and concentrated. In combination with the trine to Black Moon Lilith, this alignment becomes a recipe for intensely focused energy, intention, and manifestation. It is highly recommended that we work with and make use of this energy consciously.
Pluto, known as the Lord of the Underworld and the Great Transformer, governs that which lies beneath the surface of consciousness. When Pluto stations retrograde, it signifies his descent into the underworld he presides over, reminiscent of shamanic journeys into the deep subconscious. In Capricorn, Pluto shines his powerful Light of insight, destruction, and transformation on the structures, traditions, obligations, and expectations that govern our lives. This sign also governs patriarchy, big business, and the government – institutions that we tend to give our power to, assuming they have our best interests at heart. However, since Pluto entered Capricorn in 2008, it has been revealing the cracks in our thinking, beliefs, and institutions. It exposes what is toxic, stagnant, or stuck so that we can become aware of what needs to be overhauled or eliminated altogether, creating space for something new to be born.
Black Moon Lilith represents the Dark Goddess archetype. She governs intuition, magic, power, embodied wisdom, and the passion of the soul. The term “dark” does not imply evil; it simply refers to the hidden aspects of the Divine Feminine. Just like a tree, which has visible branches, leaves, and trunk above the surface, its roots lie beneath in the darkness. A tree cannot exist without its roots, just as the Divine Feminine cannot exist without her darker aspects. The Light feminine embodies purity, self-sacrifice, eternal youthfulness, and beauty. In contrast, the Dark feminine is connected to her sexuality and power. Often referred to as a crone figure, she is fierce and an unstoppable force. Each of us carries both aspects of the feminine and the masculine within us. The key is to find balance among all these aspects. Unfortunately, the Dark Feminine is often demonized and repressed, and powerful feminine energy is labeled with derogatory terms. Reclaiming wholeness involves healing the wounded Dark Feminine.
With Pluto trine Black Moon Lilith next week, we have a profound opportunity to tap into feminine power, empowerment, and transformation. We can transform our own shadow aspects into something that can be utilized as Light, illuminating and propelling us into the next level of our journey. Pluto represents the depths, the hidden truths, and the search for that which is concealed. Individuals with strong Pluto placements often possess characteristics of psychologists, researchers, investigators, and those interested in the occult. Black Moon Lilith represents magic, intuition, the powerful feminine, and the ability to see beyond the surface, reaching the core Truth. These two celestial bodies are aligned, forming a sacred marriage of complementary energies that can work together harmoniously. When they trine each other, the desire to delve deep, uncover hidden truths, and bring them into the Light of consciousness is intensified. This alignment can manifest both on an individual level, as we excavate our own depths and shadows, and on a collective and universal scale. When consciously worked with, the alignment between Pluto and Black Moon Lilith becomes a powerful force for transformation, evolution, death, and rebirth. It is crucial that we use these energies wisely.
It is worth noting that in the days following this alignment, both Mercury and Mars will also trine Pluto and Black Moon Lilith on April 22nd. This formation will create a Grand Earth Trine, building upon a similar alignment that occurred on March 28th when Venus was in Taurus. In the past month, our minds (Mercury), hearts (Venus), and willpower (Mars) have energetically connected with Pluto and Black Moon Lilith. On May 8th, the conscious self and ego (the Sun) will also trigger this Grand Earth Trine. With each personal planet associated with the ego and the lower self aligning with the Great Transformer and Dark Goddess, there seems to be a collective push to anchor the transformative, magical, and evolutionary energies into our physical bodies, lower selves, and the 3D world. Instead of seeking an ascension or transcendence, this alignment invites us to descend and become fully embodied and present. The Grand Earth Trine can significantly assist us on this path.
One of the most effective ways to harness this energy is through embodied experiences and practices. Engage in yoga, receive healing sessions, immerse yourself in nature, or go for a hike. These activities bridge the gap between the Spirit world and the physical world, rather than further separating the two. This alignment is not an invitation to escape; it beckons us to be here, fully present, and to take care of our bodies and the Earth. It reminds us that what we are searching for is not external but resides within us. All we have to do is discover it and bring it forth. The transformative forces are exceptionally high at this time. With the Grand Earth Trine dominating from the end of March to the beginning of May, we have the profound potential to anchor and embody transformation in ways that enhance our lives. However, it is up to each one of us to take action and work on ourselves. The potential is like a seed, but it is through our actions and personal growth that we determine how that seed will sprout. I see the alignment between Pluto and Black Moon Lilith as a cosmic miracle that is available to us all right now. Radical growth is possible. All we need to do is embrace it and embody it.
Yours in the stars,
