Personal Notes: My Experience with Uranus Transit the 9th House
During the period of Uranus transiting my 9th house, from 1975 to 1983 (from age 6 to 13), I went through a significant transformation in my life. This coincided with my transition from primary to secondary school, which proved instrumental in shaping my worldview.
Although I wasn’t raised in a religious household, I recall singing hymns at school, though none of it deeply resonated with me. In those years, I often had visions while lying awake at night, watching mesmerizing fractals dance in the air around me—a mini visionary phase during my formative years.
At the beginning of this transit, I started playing the recorder at school, gradually progressing to more complex instruments such as the treble and sopranino. Switching effortlessly between different keys, I found solace in the language of music and embraced it as my second language.
Later on, I had the opportunity to learn the violin but quickly realized it wasn’t my instrument of choice. The piano captured my interest instead. During this time, I joined a medieval music group with other kids, experimenting with period instruments such as the recorder, harpsichord, and even the kortholt, which produced a fascinating duck-like sound.
As the transit neared its end, I encountered challenges when I first attempted to play the flute—I couldn’t produce a single note. Despite the initial setback, I persevered, and the flute eventually became my favorite instrument. In 1982, I joined the Brighton Junior Youth Orchestra, coinciding with the start of high school, where my musical adventures persisted.
